I just got cast in Charlotte’s Web by TheatreWorks USA. Rehearsals start January 4, and we open January 16. I’m playing the Narrator, Gander, and Uncle. Oh! And the best part is I’ll be AEA at the end of the tour! I’ll keep everyone posted on the details as they come.

You mean you have to wait until the end of the Theatreworks tour to become Equity?

I opted to have $50 taken out of my weekly paycheck to pay for my Equity dues. I feel like if I’m already making payments on my dues then I’ll be Equity as soon as they’re paid in full. So I probably don’t have to wait until the end of the tour.

You’re Equity as soon as you sign your contract. No waiting at all.
