Michael Jackson, 50, and Farrah Fawcett, 62, both died today. Jackson suddenly died from cardiac arrest; Fawcett had been battling cancer for three years.
Michael Jackson and his music has always been a large part of my life. Some of my earliest memories of music are of his Bad album and of dancing around like him: moon walk, pop the shoulders forward, kick out the leg, spin around, rip open the shirt, grab the crotch, reach for the heavens, and scream. According to my mom, he was my first concert.
Mike, you changed the game. You broke all the rules. You helped craft the music we all listen to today. You inspired a generation. You gave hope to millions. You helped change the world by starting with the man in the mirror. You will be missed, but you’re spirit will live on.
Even though there have been reports on twitter that Jeff Goldblum plummeted 60 feet to his death off of a cliff while filming Morning Glory in New Zealand, he didn’t. Jeff Goldblum lives on.
